Dudes, Part Deux

Three more dudes!

Bilby!

Numbat!

And, per Ferocious J’s request, quokka!

but my drawing totally looks like a muskrat :(

The Olde Stuff

Got around to photographing some stuff that was lying around. I discovered that when you don’t take the photos in a dark, sun-deprived room in the middle of the night, they actually look decent. Observe:

A sketch I did while overseeing Android sales at the comicon booth. Red ink courtesy of Andrew Bell.

An acrylic painting from earlier in the year.

A couple hand puppets, a well dressed wolf and a beat up sheep.

I really hate this shot. The wolf looks like a chubby little school boy who just got a chocolate fudge sundae.

“hooraaaay :D”

And last but not least, some kitten finger puppets. The neutral, the wiggly, and the pissed. That pretty much sums up the emotional range of every cat.

Just Some Dudes…

Drew a few animals while watching reruns of Venture Bros. at the internship. Pygmy marmoset, fennec fox, jaguarundi.

I also have a bilby in the works, and I’ll draw another one and mail it off to anyone who can get me a chocolate bilby for Easter. Heck, I’ll even throw in a felt bilby if you manage to somehow get it with non-dairy chocolate :3

BY THE WAY, The Small Press Expo in Maryland is comin’ up soon. September 11th and 12th to be exact. I shall be there!

Kitten Influx

Some of the kittens from the batch I made for Comicon (they were usually found roaming about the webcomics section, particularly at the Monster Milk Co-Operative booth with the folks of Tiny Kitten Teeth and their awesome buddies!)

Kittens :3

Missing Winter

I spent the past two weeks on the west coast, respectively hitting up San Diego for the infamous ComiCon and Los Angeles for the equally infamous VisitCon, during which I visited my sister and had many adventures that involved me being attacked by her cat. I’ve been brewing up a few exciting ideas and sewing a ton of furry little kitten monsters, but in the mean time I figured I’d throw you an illustration update.

These pieces were actually done last year for my sister as a Christmas gift, but I was only able to properly photograph them now while I was at her house.

Unfortunately the tail of the cat on the left broke off in transit from NJ to LA. Now the kitty is a manx I suppose.

The canvases themselves are pretty small, only about 8″x10″ or so I believe, and the painting is all done in acrylic. The details are collaged on mostly with scrap paper and a bit of felt for the accents.

I sold a good basket full of little fleece and felt kittens at the convention (THANKS so much to all who adopted them! I’m always glad to know they’ve found loving homes). Luckily, this time I remembered to photograph them all before letting them free, so I should have those up in a day or two.

And now I believe it is finally time for me to crash after a far-too-long day of travel.
